Description

Job Summary:

The Director of Professional Services – Project Management will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for Itential’s research, development, and product implementation efforts. This individual will be a SME in setting priorities based on both customer and business requirements. Responsible for leading, managing and directing implementation support activities for Itential’s Delivery Team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of project managers and engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Delegate work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead an interdepartmental team to complete projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring that team members assigned to project possess the proper qualifications to deliver excellent customer success.
  • Conduct cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the department and opportunities for improved efficiencies.
  • Establish strong client relations and develop relationships at executive levels.
  • Act as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors, and serve as the escalation point person for the customer, delivery, and other associate Itential teams.
  • Deliver measurable solutions to customers.
  • Prepare and implement a budget based on estimates.
  • Management and oversight of the following areas: revenue, process, implementation practices, process/workflow consulting and education.
  • Develop, maintain and rebuild partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Expertly communicate with executives.
  • Assist in developing and executing effective practices, tools, and standards for implementations.
  • Build commitment to common goals; create an environment of collaboration.
  • Embrace change to stay ahead of problems.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct risk assessments; report identified risks to management; provide recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project, if appropriate).
  • Partake in project audits to identify performance improvements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, Project Management, IT or Engineering strongly preferred.

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Can create a dynamic team that is inspired to exceed expectations. Creates a group of resources that is sought after throughout the company
  • At least 5+ years of program management experience with progressively complex software engagements
  • Demonstrated experience developing, executing, and following up on programs.
  • Customer facing experience in an IT Professional Services environment
  • Excellent communication, verbal, critical thinking & analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail. Can juggle multiple assignments.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Financial budgeting and forecasting for Services programs.
