Elsewhere Partners seeks an intelligent and highly motivated Analyst interested in private equity and enterprise software to help drive the investment sourcing efforts for the firm. The Analyst will be responsible for researching, identifying, and engaging high-quality software companies to create investment opportunities for the firm. The position is based in Austin, TX and has a scheduled start date for the Summer or Fall of 2023.

Responsibilities  

• Identify software companies that could potentially be strong investment opportunities for Elsewhere through thematic and sector-driven research
• Coordinate tactics for engaging with prospects and lead strategic outreach efforts on behalf of the firm
• Collaborate with senior investment team members in creating thesis-driven analyses of specific markets, and lead the subsequent prospect identification, outreach, and relationship development efforts 
• Provide market and financial diligence support for live opportunities, including overview of key market trends, competitive landscape, and customer analyses
• Manage Elsewhere’s investment sourcing technology stack, including CRM and research databases  
• Ensure effective and efficient reporting on key pipeline metrics  

Qualifications   

• 0-2 years of professional experience working in investing/finance or software sales
• Bachelor’s degree from top-tier undergraduate institution and strong track record of academic performance   
• Background or interest in the enterprise software industry   
• Self-starter with the ability to operate effectively with limited supervision; strong organizational and research skills
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet demanding deadlines
• Highly collaborative team player; likes winning as a team
